Title: Regulatory Specialist for PET- First Shift
Duration: 1 year Contract

Required:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree with little to no experience -OR- High School Diploma w/3-5 years of directly relatable experience.
• Proficient in basic laboratory skills: accurate weighing, pipetting, quantitative transfer of solutions and samples, ability to work with care around hazardous compounds, preparation of solutions, calculation of results, and evaluation of the quality of results.
• Proficient in the operation of common lab equipment as well as experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Confidence in troubleshooting and approaching issues with a solution mindset.
• Must have computer application knowledge and be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, or possess the ability to learn the listed applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or related science field preferred
Job Description
This Regulatory Specialist role will support the Director Regulatory Affairs in the regulatory aspects of the business. In this role, you will help develop registration information, provide regulatory guidance in project meetings and support the regulatory department in our compliance activities. Regulatory is a strategic partner that helps the business to remain competitive while meeting the requirements.
Job Responsibilities
• Attend and represent regulatory at project team meetings
• Assemble registration dossiers, state tonnage fee reports and submit to the states
• Review labels for AAFCO and FDA compliance and track changes
• Commercial feed sample test report distribution to R&D
• Submit Regulatory contact reports into GGAP
• SOP Development for Regulatory
• Maintenance of product lists (new, updated, and discontinued)
• Assist in company communications with state AAFCO officials
• Track and assist with the APHIS approval letters
• Internal follow up with states on label issues and registration questions
• Documentation support for international registrations
• File regulatory FOIA request
• Monitoring and tracking regulatory changes and trends for domestic and international registrations
• PLM support – raw material specification and ISGA approval and verification of terminology
• Assist with product recalls
• Support Director Regulatory Affairs on an as-needed basis
Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field of study
• 2-4 years of regulatory experience
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with outside regulatory agencies
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Strong organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5 Years demonstrated regulatory experience in Consumer Products industry
• Prior experience with pet food industry
• Prior Consumer Packaging Claims experience a plus
• Desire to progress to more senior roles within the regulatory function
• Working knowledge of government regulatory structure and processes
• Pet Enthusiast preferred
